Publish Your Book

Do you have a book written but haven't been able to get it published? Or you haven't bothered to write it because of the high cost and big initial order requirement?

Do you want your book sold on Amazon? Perhaps you’d like your book available on the Kindle eBook reader. Maybe you’d just like to pass your book to friends as a gift or sell it in a local bookstore or in the back of the room at your speaking engagements.

Publish on Demand ("POD") is much less expensive than traditional publishing. You don’t have a minimum order size and can obtain copies of your own book for typically three to five dollars, allowing for a profit if you choose to sell it.

Example pricing:
A 100 page book where you supply the cover, contents, index, table of contents, etc, which I then convert to a format which CreateSpace.com will accept. I upload your book and do the file setup for the book to be available on Amazon.com and create your account on CreateSpace. $500.00

Additional costs billed by CreateSpace will be billed to you. These costs include joining the "Pro" Plan (this will cut your cost of books nearly in half when you order for yourself and will mean you make several dollars more per book when sold on Amazon - very advisable if you expect to sell or order more than about ten books). Currently $45.00

Also there will be $8.00 to $20.00 per proof order charged by CreateSpace. There naturally is a minimum of one Proof and price varies mainly on shipping speed. If you are happy with the proof, end of story. If you want changes made after the proof arrives, each proof will have a order cost, and if the changes are due to your editing errors, then my charge will be $50/hr to correct the copy, upload/order a new proof, etc.

Cover or other graphic art work and content editing billed at $50/hr. No charge if you provide art in a usable file format (I will discuss with you).

If you would like your book also sold on Amazon for the Kindle, that can also be done. I can migrate the book to a format that Kindle will accept and create an account for you and upload the book to MobiPocket for sale on Amazon. Additional $200.00.

Once you have accepted the proof, you can start ordering books for yourself. You can figure on a cost of $3-5 per book for a 100 page book when you order for yourself. There is no minimum order. Although orders placed on Amazon are shipped within a day, if you place a bulk order for yourself, expect it to take between two and six weeks, depending on the order size, CreateSpace work load, and your chosen shipping speed.
